Updated local election results coming this week; mail-in, provisional ballots

James Clark - email

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - This coming Tuesday evening, more than 1,100 ballots from last week's election will be counted.  That number includes the total of mail in ballots and provisional ballots for all of Lubbock County.  Results, we are told, will not be announced until Wednesday.

At last check, no one had filed for a recount in the very tight results for the Lubbock ISD bond issue.  If someone were to file for a recount it would cost $100 per precinct.  And, according to a spokesperson for the Lubbock County Office of Elections, the deadline for such a request is November 17th at 2 PM.
