"My mom is 70 years-old, and those white people there hit my mom in the head," said Hector Garza, distraught and angry over a confrontation with neighbors. The violence sent his mother, sister, and nephew to the hospital.
The trouble started just after 11 p.m. on July 4th, apparently over whether or not one of the York's cars hit one of the Garza's cars as it was leaving. Along with flying accusations came fists, and knives, and multiple stab victims.
From the York family, 21 year-old Jason, stabbed four times in the back, including a punctured lung. His 23 year-old brother Tristan was stabbed 16 times. They are both currently in satisfactory condition.
From the Garza family, 38 year-old Norma, was stabbed in the arm. Her blood, splattered in sharp contrast against a white Mustang. 20 year-old Steven was stabbed in the hand. And 70 year-old Mercy Garza, injured as she was trying to break-up the fight. An attack that intensified the violence.
"And my mom's, like I said, 70 years-old. I mean nobody's gonna let nobody hit nobody's mom like that. Would you like it?" asked Garza.
Over a dozen police officers, taping off a crime scene that stretched across the street, five people taken to the hospital.
Surprisingly, no arrests were made and no charges were filed. Responsibility still being sorted out as the injured cope with their wounds.
