Two Lubbock residents arrested on narcotics charges

LEVELLAND, TX (KCBD) - Deputies in Hockley County arrested two people Wednesday after narcotics were found in their vehicle during a traffic stop in Levelland.

Johnny Lee Kendrick, 43, and Myndi Marie Jewell, 32, were taken into the Hockley County Jail after crystal meth was found in their car. Both Kendrick and Jewell face charges of manufacture or delivery of 4 to 200 grams of a controlled substance. Kendrick is also charged with unlawful carrying of weapons.

Deputies, along with Hockley County Sheriff's Office narcotics detention canine, recovered 2.2 ounces of crystal meth.

Kendrick's bond has been set at $21,000 and Jewell's bond is set at $20,000. They each face up to five years and prison and a fine of $10,000.
