LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Authorities have upgraded the charges against a Lubbock man who was already jailed for the death of his sister.
Raymond Garcia, 25, was charged with intoxication assault following a September accident. Now, the District Attorney upgraded the charged to intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle.
Police say Garcia was at a bar with his sister, Deborah Mota, 26, when they got into an argument. They say Garcia tried to drive away, but Mota jumped on the hood of his car, then fell off.
She later died at University Medical Center. Garcia remains behind bars.
