Muleshoe man sentenced to 8 years for murder of Muleshoe teen

MULESHOE, TX (KCBD) - A Muleshoe man has been sentenced to eight years in prison for the murder of a Muleshoe teen.
The shooting happened on July 4th, 2010. Rolando Sauceda, 19, died from a gunshot wound to the chest. Investigators say at least 20 shots were fired in the early morning hours of July 4th.
About a week after the shooting, Muleshoe Police arrested 20-year-old Daniel Mendoza and 25-year-old Michael Garcia. Both were taken to the Bailey County Jail and charged with murder.
Both Mendoza and Garcia were indicted in September. Garcia's trial is expected to happen next week.
