Two hospitalized following afternoon rollover

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A rollover at I-27 and south Loop 289 Saturday afternoon sent two people to the hospital.  KCBD is still working on all the details, but here's what we know now.

The SUV rolled around 2:30 p.m. on the over-pass leading from southbound I-27 to westbound Loop 289.  It was the only vehicle involved in the accident.

Witnesses on the scene told us one of the victims crawled out of the vehicle, but first responders had to rescue the second victim from inside the SUV.  Our video journalist was on the scene as police officers ran up the embankment to get to the accident scene.

Authorities say one of the victims had serious injures. No word yet on the second victim or what caused the vehicle to roll. We'll keep you updated as investigators release those details.
