LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Scoring at will, Texas Tech opened up a 44-0 halftime lead on Weber State and rolled to a 64-21 victory at Jones AT&T Stadium.
On senior day, Senior Taylor Potts was 21 for 24 for 272 yards and 3 touchdowns before giving way to Steven Sheffield who promptly threw a td pass to put Tech up 44-0 at the break.
The Red Raiders racked up 669 yards of total offense...439 passing and 230 rushing. Ben McRoy had 76 yard rushing and 2 touchdowns.
Now 6-5, Tech closes out the regular season hosting Houston next Saturday at 7pm.
A representative from the Ticket City Bowl was in attendance and he said the Red Raiders are at the top of their list. The Ticket City Bowl is January 1st at 11am at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.
