Fatal Rollover Near Morton - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A fatal accident took the life of a young woman in Cochran County on Tuesday.

It happened about 7:50am, on FM 1169, five miles southwest of Morton. According to DPS, the driver, 22-year-old Sylvia Tarango, missed a curve in the road. Her 1997 Pontiac Firebird then rolled one and a half times. Tarango was not wearing a seat belt and she was ejected from the vehicle.

Tarango was pronounced dead at the scene.
