July 4th Road Numbers Lower than Expected - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

It was not exactly good news as far as DWI's, accidents, and citations this 4th of July, but DPS Corporal John Gonzalez says it could have been much worse.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, there were 7 DWI's handed out this holiday weekend, 46 speeding tickets, 22 seat belt violators - two of those were unrestrained children.

There was also one fatal accident - and it was caused by driver fatigue.
