LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – If you would like to "Light Up a Life" this year, you now have a chance. "Light Up a Life" is an annual event celebrated by Hospice of Lubbock. It allows you to honor those who have passed, those who are living or a special event, such as a marriage, birth, anniversary, etc.
This year, two "Light Up a Life" trees will be displayed in Lubbock; one at the corner of 19th Street and University and one at Barnes and Nobles at the South Plains Mall. Each light on the trees represents someone that is honored.
Proceeds support Hospice of Lubbock's community outreach mission. Their mission is to provide quality and compassionate end-of-life care and bereavement services for terminally ill children, adults, and their families, regardless of their ability to pay.
The trees will be displayed beginning Monday, November 22 and the fundraiser will run through December. A minimum $25 donation will light one light on the Tree of Lights.
