Fire Department rescues dog in Lubbock house fire

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Lubbock Fire Department was called out to the 6200 block of 13th Street on Monday afternoon to put out the flames that destroyed the back of a home.

Initial reports state that no one was at home at the time of a fire that started around 4:30 p.m. An eye witness states that a dog was rescued from the burning home.

There is no word on what cause the fire and there is no word on the condition of the dog.
