How Local Lawmakers Voted on the Redistricting Issue

On Tuesday, the Texas House gave final approval to a map that redraws the state's congressional districts. The final vote was 83 to 62, almost straight down party lines.

Our local Representative Carl Isett of District 84, voted for the map, while Delwin Jones of District 83, also a Republican, voted against.

The issue is now in the hands of Robert Duncan and the Texas Senate.

The map could still face additional changes before it is approved.
