LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock is about to spend $1.3 million to fix up the Mahon Library including a new interior paint job, 4,200 square yards of new carpet, renovations to the first floor restrooms, and improvements to the heating & air conditioning system.
City Council is expected to approve a contract with Talon/LPE of Amarillo on Thursday. The city actually bid the job out through a national alliance based in Minnesota. Including roof work, the Mahon project is budgeted for more than $2 million.
