Tahoka issues water boil notice for residents

UPDATE: AS OF TUESDAY, DECEMBER 7TH THE BOIL WATER NOTICE HAS BEEN LIFTED .

TAHOKA, TX (KCBD) - The City of Tahoka has issued a water boil notice for its residents.

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use. The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottles of water or obtain water from some other suitable source.

When it is no longer necessary to boil water, the water system officials will notify you that the water is safe for consumption. Instructions to discontinue boiling will be issued in the same manner as this notice.

KCBD NewsChannel 11 will you keep you informed as to when the boil notice will be lifted.

    More tickets have just been released for all shows of the Garth Brooks World Tour with Trisha Yearwood at the Lubbock United Supermarkets arena. There are five performances Thursday, March 30 through Sunday, April 2. There is an eight-ticket limit per customer.
