LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Early Sunday afternoon gas prices in Lubbock ranged from $2.66 to $2.89 per gallon. According to lubbockgasprices.com that's up 8 cents from Saturday, and up 27 cents from a week ago. The website says Lubbock gasoline prices are up 47 cents per gallon from a year ago.
The AAA Motor Club blames a weak U.S. dollar and a sharp rise in the need for heating oil. Crude oil was $89.19 per barrel on Friday, which is its highest price in two years.
