LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Back in September we told you former Republican Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin will come to Lubbock for the annual Lubbock Christian School benefit dinner.

But for one local barber this visit is two years in the making.  Mourice Stanley, owner of Jerry's Barbershop, had a Lubbock Christian School student pick nine other people's names out of a bucket to join him at the Palin event.  Stanley has been advocating for Palin's visit since the last presidential election.

He also put out the Palin piggy bank for his customers, and raised more than $2,000 for Palin, and he supports the idea of Palin running for President in 2012.

Stanley says, "We used that money to buy into the sponsorship of the Sarah Palin event at Lubbock Christian."  Palin speaks January 24th at the 21st annual Lubbock Christian School benefit dinner held at the Civic Center.  You can call the school at 796-8700 for more information.
