LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Texas Tech student, accused of sexually assaulting another student at an October party, will go to trial.

On Tuesday, a Lubbock grand jury decided there was enough evidence to send 20-year-old Madison Stanton to trial for the assault. The victim says she met Stanton at a party, where he offered her a drink, and that is the last thing she clearly remembers.

According to the police report, the victim did not recognize what the drink was that was offered to her. The victim told police she had been drinking earlier in the evening, but did not drink anything at the party where she met Stanton.

Stanton remains free on bond.
