LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), along with the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, will break ground on a project that will make more than $9.5 million of improvements to U.S. 62 and State Highway 114, which is known as Idalou Road, in the city of Lubbock at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 10.
The project will rehabilitate more than three miles of Idalou Road, from Avenue A to Loop 289, and is being funded through Proposition 12 bonds, said Stevan Perez, P.E., Littlefield Area engineer overseeing the project.
The project's completion date is scheduled for late (December) 2011.
