Littlefield man found dead in compacting compartment of a garbage truck

WHITHARRAL, TX (KCBD) - Hockley County deputies were called to Whitharral on Thursday evening to investigate a man found dead in a garbage truck.

Timothy Duane Hanna of Littlefield died after he got trapped inside the truck's garbage compacting compartment. Hanna was the owner/operator of "Country Dumpsters" and had been contracted to remove garbage for the Whitharral School District. His truck was found parked behind the high school, where Hanna had been working.  

Members of the Levelland Fire Department were dispatched get Hanna out of the truck. Based on the investigation, Justice of the Peace Jerry Boudreaux ruled the cause of death as accidental.
