Job Cuts at LP&L - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Sources tell NewsChannel 11 that 42 jobs were cut at LP&L on Thursday. This decision comes after city officials announced that 60 jobs were in jeopardy.

LP&L has faced recent budget concerns relating to high natural gas prices and lingering issues with WTMPA's debt. Sources say that all 42 employees will be given 60 days severance pay in addition to their remaining vacation time. There is no word, as of yet, on which positions were cut.
