Slaton man arrested Sunday morning for attempted murder

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Slaton police investigate an attempted murder case.  Early Sunday morning police, EMS and Aerocare responded to a report of woman who had been stabbed multiple times to her face head arms and chest with a serrated kitchen knife.  Her name and other details about the victim have not been released. 

Just before 2:00 AM, police arrested Christopher Cearley, 26, of Slaton on a single charge of attempted murder.  He was arrested at his home in the 1500 block of West Garza Street. His bond was listed late in the day as $50,000 according to online jail records.
