Lubbock family receives the gift of warmth this Christmas

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock family will be able to enjoy a warm winter as the receive the gift of a cozy Christmas.

Arctic Air teamed up with KCBD NewsChannel 11 to give away a brand new heating and air conditioning unit to a family in need. Monday, Michelle Cook was announced as the winner of the contest and on Tuesday, the new system was installed.

"We will to help out people in need. When we can. It's a great honor to be in a position to give back to the people of Lubbock as a whole," said Shane Templin with Arctic Air.

Templin tells us the family was nominated by a friend and they had gone several years without any heat during the winter or air conditioning during the summer.
