Frenship ISD is growing and the district needs new campuses. So, Tuesday board trustees will consider election dates for a $46.8 million bond election.
The bond package includes new classrooms at North Ridge, Crestview, and Westwind Elementary schools. If passed, Bennett Intermediate would be turned into an elementary school, Casey Elementary would become a multiple-function facility, and a new elementary would be built. The package also includes the building of a new middle school in the northern part of the district.
Frenship's most recent bond elections were passed in 1987 and 1994. In 1987, FISD passed a $6 million bond and a $25 million bond in 1994.
