Lamesa Toddler Run Over in Driveway

A toddler is dead after a vehicle accidentally ran over her in front of her home. It happened near Lamesa on Saturday.

According to witnesses, 16 month-old Sara Neufeld had joined her family in the driveway, as they said goodbye to friends. She was then hit as the vehicle backed out of the driveway.

The Dawson County Sheriff's Office has ruled the death an accident. No charges will be filed.
