Counterfeiter headed to prison for second time

By James Clark - email

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A local man is sentenced to almost three years in federal prison for spending counterfeit money at Lubbock businesses.

Tommy Alcorn, 56, with addresses listed in both Lubbock and Plainview, admitted to passing counterfeit money back in September.  Court records say a search of his apartment revealed both cut and uncut counterfeit currency.

Alcorn had already served time for a similar conviction back in 2006.
