Levelland couple sues fund, claims fraud

By James Clark - email

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Levelland couple claims they've been scammed by somepeople who were already under a previous court order not to sell fraudulent investments.  Mack and Alice Wright filed suit this month in Lubbock federal court against RSM Forex Fund II, Nyle Field of Lubbock and Raymond Minardi of Plano.

The first RSM Forex Fund and Minardi were already under a 2009 state court order to not sell fraudulent or unregistered securities.

The Wrights claim that RSM tricked them into giving a $50,000 loan at 18% interest.  They also claim that RSM tricked them into making a separate $50,000 investment.

Last week Lubbock federal Judge Sam Cummings put a temporary restraining order on RSM and Minardi.  The judge scheduled a hearing for December 28th to determine whether or not the temporary restraining stays in place.

Minardi, Field and RSM Forex have not yet responded in court records.
