LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - For the 10th year in a row, the Callaway family from Dexter, New Mexico will deliver thousands of dollars in new toys to the Covenant Children's Hospital.
Since 2001, Rick and Tracy Callaway, with the help of friends and family, have donated more than $130,000 worth of toys to the children's hospital in honor of Lindsey Callaway. Lindsey, a former patient at Covenant, lost her battle with cancer in 2001 at the age of 16.
Friends and family of Lindsey will drive in a caravan from Dexter, NM to deliver the toys to the Covenant Children's Hospital on Monday, Dec. 20. The caravan will arrive at 1 p.m. by Ray Farmer Memorial Park, in front of Covenant Women's and Children's, 4000 24th Street.
