Leach on Maryland's wish list

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -The University of Maryland made a strategic business decision in order to move their football program from good to great. Athletic director Kevin Anderson said former red raider mike leach is on the list, but there is no leading candidate.

Despite rumors swirling about leach taking over the Terps, KCBD sports director was told by Mike Leach that he had not had any contact with Maryland, but he would be interested in taking over the acc program.

All indications are with Maryland's attendance dropping the last 5 years and losing $500,000 in each of the last 2 years on season tickets and with Byrd stadium only 75% full once this season, they need someone to generate excitement. Mike Leach could do that.
