Last minute holiday shopping can be stressful

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -Is it the most wonderful time of the year or the most stressful? KCBD News channel 11 went to the South Plains mall to find out how late shoppers are coping with holiday stress.

"It's definitely the most stressful time of the year," Karen Hunter said.

"So stressful! Look at all the people here, there's too many people," Carter Smith said.

So many people everywhere shopping with only a few days left till Christmas and shoppers say the stress starts from the minute they leave the house.

"I think it took us all day to get here, " Sharon Lane said.

"I hate the parking, the parking is what drives me wild," Denise Elisedon said.

Denise says she was frustrated with how long it took her to find a spot at the South Plains mall. "I wanna say it took me 20 minutes to find a spot. I hate to walk so if I can wait, I'd rather wait in the car to find one as close as I can," Elisedon said.

So if its all so stressful why not just stay home and do the shopping online?

"We don't do a lot online, so I guess we just like misery so we come do it in person," Peter McDonald said.

McDonald says to get through the stress of the holidays you have to just keep moving. "You've got to refuel and then hit it again and just keep hitting it til you get it done."
