LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A sign of the season was the last sound of a certain bell Friday evening.
The Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign wrapped up the Christmas season by meeting and beating its goal. Salvation Armies across the nation are reporting that overall donations were down this year.
However, here on the South Plains, our local chapter of the organization said they raised $240-thousand dollars.
That's $15-thousand more than their original goal.
