LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Poem written by meterologist Cary Allen:
Twas' the night before Christmas at KCBD
All the hallways are empty, minus those who are working...like me
Tim fixed homemade chili for all to enjoy
He took good care of his fellow employee
The chili was great, really tasty and spicy
Thank goodness our roadways are not very icy
The skies look clear across most of the South Plains
We have no threat of snowfall or holiday rains
High pressure moves in and our skies remain clear
No travel delays expected, except for the deer
People have been shopping for toys, clothes and gowns
all wrapped in paper to prevent Christmas Day frowns
Even though I am working and drinking Grape Fanta,
I really enjoyed tracking the progress of Santa
May he stop by your house and fill all of your stockings
with holiday cheer and Christmas music rocking
And now I must go as I prepare to do weather
