LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – The Lubbock woman who drove her SUV into a playa lake Monday has improved from critical condition to serious condition as of Tuesday at University Medical Center. Police identify her as Brenna Tanner, 42.
An employee of the Lubbock Country Club saw her SUV in the water just before 9:00 AM, and went into the water to recover her. Temperatures at the time were in the lower 20's.
Police said Monday that alcohol may be a factor in the incident. Tanner lives one block from the accident.
