LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – A federal judge in Lubbock approves the sale of assets from the Zookini's location in Abilene.  On November 30th, Zookini's filed for bankruptcy and that same day employees of the Lubbock location could be seen loading up kitchen equipment onto trucks so that it could be hauled away.

The Zookin's restaurant chain had been owned by Benny Judah of Lubbock who is currently serving prison time related to a Ponzi scheme.

Court records say the Abilene location was the only one making money.  So the Lubbock, San Angelo, and Amarillo locations are a thing of the past.

The Abilene location is being sold to Lubbock area sonic franchisee Rodney Warren.  Meanwhile, all of Judah's assets are being sold in an attempt to least partially pay back his victims.
