The first set of cild tax-rebate checks are in the mail. On Friday tax-rebate check were mailed to some 25 million Americans as part of the President's plan to stimulate the economy.
The $400 increase applies towards taxes already paid or owed for 2002. Families who did not owe taxes, will not receive a check. So if you qualified when will you see a check?
It depends on the last two digits in the filing parent's social security number.
- Social security numbers ending in 00-to-33 were sent out on Friday (7.25).
- 34-66 will be sent out next Friday (8.1).
- 66-99 will be sent out on August 8th.
