Authorities I.D. inmate killed in Lea Co. Correctional Facility

HOBBS, NM (KCBD) - Police in New Mexico are investigating the death of a Lea County Correctional Facility inmate as homicide.  Hobbs Police say they were called to the facility around 1:30 p.m. Monday for a battery.

First responders took the victim to Lea Regional Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.  On Tuesday, authorities identified the victim as Paul Lasner, 31.
