LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Tamara Bryan of Lubbock and 16 of her coworkers are a quarter-million dollars richer thanks to the most recent Mega Millions drawing.  According to the Texas Lottery, Bryan bought a ticket at the Stripes Convenience Store, 2412 98th, matched five numbers but did not match the Mega Ball or the Megaplier.

"My coworker texted me this morning early and said, ‘Did you check the numbers?'"  Bryan is quoted by the TX Lottery as saying, "I'd heard someone won the big one but it wasn't in Texas, so I didn't think anything of it."  But then she did check the numbers and sure enough, they matched.

"Everyone knows, and we're all so excited," Bryan says.

So what does the Lubbock Stripes store get?  The Texas Lottery says there is no retailer bonus for this particular prize.

A Dallas ticket also matched five numbers, but that ticket is worth  $1,000,000 because the Dallas winner also got the Megaplier number.  The Lubbock ticket did not.

The big winners are from the states of Washington and Idaho.  They will split $380 Million.

Mega Millions is played in 41 state plus the District of Columbia.
