A man suspected of driving drunk is free on bond after driving away from the scene of two traffic crashes in Lubbock County.
Samuel Zamora is accused of leaving the scene after colliding with an Oldsmobile at Slaton Highway and Southeast Loop 289 Friday night. Four people were sent to the hospital in that accident, but have since been released. Witnesses say Zamora was involved in a second hit and run near FM 1585 and County Road 2500. Police say he then proceeded to MLK and 76th where he rammed a DPS trooper car. The trooper fired a round into Zamora's tire to stop the car and arrest him.
Zamora is charged with driving under the influence and evading arrest.
