POST, TX (KCBD) - The Abilene teenager who died Thursday after suffering a gunshot wound to the head had ties to Lubbock and Post. Michael Huffman, 16, was shot Tuesday according to the Abilene Reporter News. That same report says Joseph Fowler, 17, was arrested on charges of Aggravated Assault "after police said he had handled the firearm recklessly." Fowler has posted bond and been released from jail.
Family & friends say Huffman was planning to move to his mother's hometown of Post, and a fund has been set up in his name at the Wells Fargo branch in Post. His Facebook page says he "lives in Abilene" and is "From Lubbock".
Meanwhile, funeral services are pending with Justice-Mason Funeral Home of Post.
