Lubbock County brings neglected, starving, and wandering horses to the Gypsy Heart Horse Ranch for rehabilitation. The fields are home to sixteen horses. Some are fully recovered, but others have large patches of missing hair, hardly any meat on their visible bones, and eyes that haven't yet found the joy owner Ramona Foxworth hopes to restore.

May is Motorcycle Awareness Month, and Lubbock bikers invite everyone to join them at the South Plains Mall on Saturday for the second annual See Us, Save Us Rally.
Lubbock Police continue to seek tips in a suspicious death investigation. The sister of David Hernandez, 31 found him Friday afternoon at a home near 65th Drive and Avenue P in south Lubbock. Hernandez had no known medical conditions. That, plus his age led to the investigation.
