Former Lubbock Police Chief, Ken Walker is back "on the job..."
Walker has been named the new Police Chief of West University Place, an affluent suburb of Houston located in southwestern, Harris county.
"I met the officers, they are young and enthusiastic, I'm ready to work with them," said Walker. "It's a unique city surrounded by Houston. So what effects Houston will effect west university also, so that should be a fairly large challenge."
Walker resigned from the Lubbock Police Department in November in exchange for a $130,000 settlement. Walker lost his job as a result of the botched July 13th SWAT Operation that ended in the death of Lubbock Police Officer, Kevin Cox.
