Lubbock, TX (KCBD) - With temperatures expected to drop into the teens, the Salvation Army is reaching out to those who might need a warm place to stay. The army is increasing its efforts by opening its doors to those who need a warm bed.
The Salvation Army will also act as a day shelter and allow people to come in and escape the bitter temperatures. Starting Sunday, the army will reach out to those who choose to stay on the streets and provide them with a hot meal, warm clothes and blankets.
These programs will be extended as needed through the week.
