Prisoner caught with cocaine, fingers prison staff as source

By James Clark - email

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - There's even more evidence of public corruption at the Dalby Correctional Facility in Post.  A man who previously admitted to being an illegal alien now also admits to possessing contraband.

Specifically, Alberto Rodriguez-Campos, 32, who lists his address in Lubbock, admits to having cocaine in the prison unit.

Over the last three years, several prison guards and other prison employees have been caught and pleaded guilty to public corruption or similar charges. Rodriguez-Campos told investigators that he got the cocaine from a prison staffer.  He'll be sentenced at a later date to no more than 10 years in prison.
