LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A grand jury indictment provides new information about the December 31st robbery of Lubbock National Bank, 1001 Main Street. The Wednesday indictment accuses Carlton Ray Taylor, 54, of a single count of bank robbery.
Taylor is already locked up and charged earlier this month by an FBI complaint. The complaint said Taylor took roughly $10,000 from the bank. But the indictment updates that dollar figure, saying Taylor took approximately $11,500.
Like the complaint, the indictment says Taylor "...knowingly, and by force, violence, and intimidation" took money from a bank teller. The original complaint said Taylor handed the bank teller a robbery note and then put his hand in his pocket, leading the teller to think Taylor might have a gun.
He was arrested a few days later after a Crimeline tip to Lubbock police.
