"Dixie Chick" Emily Robison Unhurt After Tour Bus Rear-Ended

Dixie Chicks banjo and guitar player Emily Robison says on a fan web site that her pet peeve is "bad drivers".

On Thursday that pet peeve came home to roost after the 'Chicks' tour bus was rear-ended by a pickup truck on Loop 1604 in northwest San Antonio. Witnesses say the bus was northbound on the highway near Interstate 10 when it was hit by a box that fell from a passing car.

When the bus driver stopped to inspect that damage, the rig was hit from behind by a pickup truck. The truck driver told police he was distracted by a ringing cell phone and didn't see the bus. He was taken to Methodist Hospital for treatment.

Robison and another woman were the only bus passengers. Police say they were shaken but unhurt. The brunette Dixie chick was returning home from a performance in Houston last night when the accident happened.
