It was another open-and-shut day for the Texas Senate. With 11 Senate Democrats still in New Mexico, the Legislature's upper chamber convened briefly Thursday but failed again to muster a quorum.
The Democrats are boycotting the Senate to deny the body a quorum and block a Republican-pushed congressional redistricting bill. They fled to Albuquerque on Monday when they broke a quorum and halted Senate business.
The Senate is set to meet again Monday.
