Congressman Randy Neugebauer is back in town for a while.
Thursday, he made an appearance at the Lubbock Hispanic Chamber's Annual Scholarship Luncheon. About a dozen students were presented with a scholarship toward their higher education. Even Congressman Neugebauer didn't walk away empty handed, as he was presented a plaque of appreciation from the Hispanic Chamber.
Though he has only been and in Washington a short time, Neugebauer says he has made progress in the improvement of health care for seniors. "We've begun the process of reforming Medicare so it will be a healthy plan, one that will provide good benefits for our senior citizens,"said Neugebauer.
Neugebauer will be headed back to Washington in September.
