LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock man, well known in the business community, is leaving the Hub City to start a business in Vietnam. Published reports including the Plains Cotton Growers website and Plainview Daily Herald indicate Roger Haldenby is starting a business called Asia Pacific Cotton.
While Haldenby will be leaving, his impact on Lubbock will not. The PCG website says he will help businesses in Southeast Asia "to better obtain and use the cotton fiber produced on the Texas High Plains."
Currently, Haldenby is Vice President of Operations for Plains Cotton Growers. He leaves in February.
