Lubbock stores are packed and shoppers are on the prowl during tax free weekend – one of the busiest weekends for stores statewide.
Area car lovers were revving up their engines for a good cause, Saturday afternoon, during the 29th Annual Mustang Roundup and Car Show.
Police are investigating an aggravated assault and robbery in West Lubbock. The call came down just after 6PM Friday evening. Police say a victim went to University Medical Center, after being assaulted. Shortly after, police sent their investigators to a home in the 400 block of Kline, near 4th street.
Students and their parents turned out Saturday morning at Mae Simmons Community Center, for the 2nd annual "Back 2 School" kick off. The event featured carnival games, live music, door prizes and food. It was free to those who attended.
