LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Keith Hayes, a Lubbock resident and Texas Tech graduate is calling on the community for support.
Hayes, 25, has been diagnosed with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma and is in need of a bone marrow stem cell transplant.
The Sounds of West Texas Country Music Show has decided to help out by holding a benefit concert for Hayes. Some of Lubbock's finest singers and musicians will be performing a night of classic country, gospel, and pop music.
The show will be February 12, 2011 at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Theater at 7:00 p.m. There will be a silent auction and door prizes.
Tickets are on sale at Select-a-Seat. Adult tickets can be purchased for $15 and children ages 4-12 can attend for $7. All ticket proceeds will go to Keith and his wife Erin.
For those unable to attend the concert but still wanting to donate, there is an account set up at American State Bank in Hayes name.
For more information about the cause, you can visit cure4Keith.org, or go to Facebook and enter in "Keith Hayes Cancer Fund."
For any questions about the concert you can call Betty Smith, the show's director at either (806) 544-6811 or (806) 796-3963.
Anything you can do to help out Keith Hayes and his family is greatly appreciated.
