LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – A major wrap up of high profile cases were heard by Grand Jury Tuesday.

And the Grand Jury found enough evidence to indict three suspect for murder and three others for capital murder.

Charity Wilcots, 21, was charged with murder but Tuesday indicted for capital murder. Jakey Ayers, 16, and Clarence King, 17, are also indicted as an adult with capital murder. They are all charged in connection in the May shooting death of Marqus Lewis, 28.

Lewis was found shot to death in the 5600 block of Grinnell street. Investigators also found more than 40 marijuana plants inside his house. Police have already spoken with a man identified as Lewis' roommate.

Another high profile cases involved Kerry Williams, 35, is indicted with murder in connection with the 1994 homicide of Charlotte Diance Ivery, 44. On January 28th, 1994, around 4:15 a.m., Charlotte was found at the Lindsay Laundromat at 2314 34th Street, partially nude and stabbed to death. The mother of four had apparently been living at the Laundromat. Officials say items of evidence were submitted in 1994, but the technology wasn't available for DNA testing. The evidence was then re-submitted in 2009. After this case was thought to be cols, 16 years later Lubbock Police named Williams as a suspect.

Williams, who was 18 at the time of the murder, was arrested in 1998 for attempted aggravated sexual assault in Levelland and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. He was paroled in 2002, but was arrested again for aggravated sexual assault in 2004 and was sentenced to 30 years in prison. He is currently in the Neal Detention Center in Potter County.

The last profile case on the grand jury list involves Devante Jones, 18, is indicted with murder. Arren Davis, 21 is also charged with murder. Jones and Davis are charged in connection in the December 19th death of 52-year-old Brian Brinson.

Brinson was found dead just after midnight Sunday morning in his 1995 Mercedes after reports of gunshots in the area of Avenue L and 24th Place. Police say Brinson had been shot at least one time in the torso.

Police say Brinson had just recently moved to the Wilson area.  As to why he was in Lubbock the night before his death into the morning of his murder, they could not say.  They did tell us that some of Brinson's property was taken and that the motive behind the killing appears to be robbery.  Captain Greg Stevens also says that Brinson knew both suspects, but how well is still under investigation.

Zeven Sanders, 16 is also charged with murder in connection to Brinson's death. Sanders is in the Lubbock County Juvenile Justice Center.

There were ten homicides in 2010 and all the cases were solved plus the 1994 cold case. Now that three people were indicted for murder and three for capital murder, three violent crimes in 2010 that were solved will go to trial.
